Grande Prairie RCMP have laid charges following an investigation into a rural break and enter.
On Oct.30, 2022 around 3 p.m., an officer was conducting patrols in the area of Range Road 62 and Township Road 731. The officer noticed a suspicious vehicle that was near a business that was closed for the day. An investigation determined that there was a break and enter in progress. The scene was contained by police and Grande Prairie Police Dog Services (PDS) was called to assist. As a result, two males were taken into custody.
Ryan Turner (43) a resident of Grande Prairie and Nelson Mizera (32) a resident of Grande Prairie have been charged with the following:
·Break and Enter with intent
·Mischief under $5000
Turner was held for a Judicial Interim Release hearing and was remanded in Custody. He is scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Nov.2, 2022. Mizera was released on a release order and is scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Nov. 14, 2022.
