On Jan. 4, Grande Prairie RCMP received a complaint of alleged inappropriate contact of a sexual nature between an adult and two minors at residence in Grande Prairie.

RCMP attended and the youth were removed from the location. Further investigation by the Grande Prairie Special Investigations Unit (SIU) revealed the minors were allegedly offered goods in return for going to an unlicensed business at residence known as White Spot Spa. Grande Prairie SIU executed a search warrant at the residence and seized a number of items.

As a result of the investigation David Thomas White, 50, of Grande Prairie was arrested. White has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference.

White was released following a judicial hearing with conditions including: prohibited from attending any public park, swimming area, daycare centre, school ground, playground or community centre where persons under the age of 16 years are present or can reasonably be expected to be present; prohibited from possessing any device capable of accessing the internet; and prohibited from being alone with any child under the age of 16 years.

White is scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial court on Feb. 17.
