The Grande Prairie Composite High School is proud to be the recipient of an international award, receiving platinum recognition during the
2023 Facilitation Impact Awards, held on November 2nd.

This accolade, presented by the International Association of Facilitators (IAF), recognizes the school's recent initiative, the Phoenix Philosophy Project. The award honours excellence in facilitation and the measurable impact facilitation has on the challenges faced by organizations, including those in the education sector. The Grande Prairie Campsite High School project focused on engaging staff, students, and community in collaboration as they set the vision for their newly opened school.

"This award is a credit to my staff and their commitment to continuous professional improvement," says GPCHS Principal Dennis Vobeyda. Throughout the project, his school invited
students, families, and the greater community, to help shape their shared vision and mission – as they all work together in the spirit of igniting students' education.

The Phoenix Philosophy Project is part of the school's commitment to staff collaboration guided by a continuous cycle of professional improvement. Through the project, staff
recommitted to the goal of being part of the evidence-based Professional Learning Community at their school. Learn more about the Phoenix Project at www.iaf-world.org
