Last Thursday, Aug. 20, was Burgers to Beat MS at A&W restaurants across Canada.

Two dollars from every Teen Burger sold across the country went to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. With the COVID-19 situation this year, they had the first-ever Take Out Burgers to Beat MS campaign.

Over the last 12 years, this campaign has raised more than $15 million for the MS Society of Canada, with a goal this year to raise more than $1 million. The goal was met with the total at $1,244,465.

For the past 7 years, Grande Prairie has been the top fundraising restaurant across Canada. Last year, the North-side A&W raised $61,000, with Grande Prairie and Clairmont totaling $70,500, which was the highest ever for our area.

This year, the North-side A&W raised $18,757.09, with Grande Prairie and Clairmont totaling $22,175.55.
