Today Alberta is reporting 133 new cases of COVID-19 from 8,148 tests for an active total of 1,251. There are 8,436 recoveries.  

Hospitalization rates have gone up, with 102 today, nine more than yesterday. Eighteen of these are in intensive care. There’s been two more deaths, for a total of 174.  

In our region, there’s been a few new cases, but more recoveries. 

The City and County of Grande Prairie have both seen a recovery from COVID-19 since yesterday. The City currently has eight active cases and 18 recovered. The County has 11 active and nine recoveries. 

The County of Northern Lights has had one recovery, now with two active and two recoveries.  

Mackenzie County has identified two new cases, but six new recoveries. They now have 39 active and 56 recoveries. Clear Hills County has one new case. They now have 13 active and 10 recoveries.  Both these Counties remain on Alberta’s watch list.
