In the City of Grande Prairie, two new COVID-19 cases were reported today (May 26), and 16 people recovered. The active total is 121 with 3,692 recoveries.  

In the County of Grande Prairie, six new cases were added, and four people recovered. There are now 58 active cases and 1284 recoveries.

Provincially, Alberta reported 390 new cases from 5,979 tests completed and our positivity rate is about 8.2 per cent. Right now, 10,953 cases are active in the province. With 1,509 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 212,273. 

There’s 548 people in the hospital with the virus, with 157 of these in intensive care. This is 17 fewer hospitalizations than reported yesterday and one fewer ICU admission. In the North Zone, there’s 53 people in the hospital with 14 of these admitted to intensive care. 

Alberta has reported six more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 2,198 since the start of the pandemic.  

There have now been 2,578,577 vaccine doses administered, with 357,963 Albertans fully immunized with two doses.
