In Alberta today, (Nov. 17), 773 new cases are being reported, as well as 731 recoveries. 

Active cases have gone up to 10,068 with 30,462 total recovered. Currently, 268 people are in the hospital with COVID-19, with 57 of these in intensive care. This is four more hospitalizations than yesterday, but the same amount of ICU admissions. There’s one more than yesterday in the North Zone, with 10 in the hospital and one in the ICU. 

Five more Albertans have died, for a total of 432 since the start of the pandemic. None of the new deaths were in the North Zone. 

In Grande Prairie, eight new cases were reported 13 people recovered, bringing the active total down to 87, with 318 recoveries. In the County, three new cases were found, and four people recovered. 

An outbreak has been declared at the Ridgevalley Seniors Home in Crooked Creek. Alberta Health has confirmed there are 12 cases connected to the facility, and the outbreak was opened on Nov. 7. 

In the MD of Greenview, four new cases were added, and one person recovered. Two people recovered and two new cases were found in the MD of Peace. The MD of Smoky River had one new case. Northern Sunrise County had three people recover. Two people recovered in the MD of Fairview.
