In the City of Grande Prairie, 13 new COVID-19 cases were reported today (May 13), and 39 people recovered. The active total is 452 with 3,245 recoveries.  

In the County of Grande Prairie, four new cases were added, and 14 people recovered. There are now 145 active cases and 1,142 recoveries.

Provincially, Alberta reported 1,558 new cases from 15,266 tests completed and our positivity rate is about 10.6 per cent. Right now, 24,586 cases are active in the province. With 1,925 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 188,475. 

There’s 722 people in the hospital with the virus, with 177 of these in intensive care. This is 15 fewer hospitalizations than reported yesterday and eight more ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 95 people in the hospital with 16 of these admitted to intensive care. 

Alberta has reported nine more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 2,132 since the start of the pandemic.  

There have now been 2,019,713 vaccine doses administered, with 322,247 Albertans fully immunized with two doses.
