Alberta has added 411 new cases of COVID-19 as of March 4 from 10,559 tests completed and our positivity rate sits at 5%.

Right now, 4,639 cases are active in the province. With 383 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 128,644.

There’s 243 people in the hospital with the virus, with 44 of these in intensive care. This is two fewer hospitalizations than reported yesterday, and three fewer ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 29 people in the hospital with one of these admitted to intensive care.

Alberta has reported one more COVID-related death, for a total of 1,913 since the start of the pandemic.

Twenty-two more variant cases of COVID-19 have been found, for a total of 563. There have been 226 found in the Calgary Zone, 215 in the Edmonton Zone, 117 in the Central Zone, five in the North Zone and zero in the South Zone. This is one new in the North Zone since yesterday.

There have now been 275,719 vaccine doses administered, with 90,486 people fully immunized with two doses.

In the City of Grande Prairie, 37 new cases were added, and 17 people recovered. The active total is 229 with 1464 recoveries.

In the County of Grande Prairie, 10 new cases were added today, and two people recovered. There’s now 68 active cases and 416 recoveries.
