Alberta has added 399 new cases of COVID-19 today (Feb. 25), from 9,217 tests completed for a positivity rate of about 4.3%.

Right now, 4,484 cases are active in the province. With 452 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 126,074.

There’s 280 people in the hospital with the virus, with 56 of these in intensive care. This is 27 fewer hospitalizations than reported yesterday, and the same number of ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 40 people in the hospital with three of these admitted to intensive care.

Alberta has reported eight more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 1,874 since the start of the pandemic.

Thirty-two more variant cases of COVID-19 have been found, for a total of 355. The North Zone added two today, of the U.K. variant, for a total of three. There have been 150 found in the Calgary Zone, 127 in the Edmonton Zone, 75 in the Central Zone and zero in the South Zone.

There have now been 195,572 vaccine doses administered.

In the City of Grande Prairie, 22 new cases were added, and 16 people recovered. The active total is 227 with 1319 recoveries.

In the County of Grande Prairie, 13 new cases were added today, and seven people recovered. There’s now 50 active cases and 387 recoveries.
