Alberta has added 415 new cases of COVID-19 today (Feb. 18), from 10,275 tests completed and our positivity rate sits at about 4.2%.

Right now, 4,887 cases are active in the province. With 378 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 123,338.

There’s 362 people in the hospital with the virus, with 55 of these in intensive care. This is eight fewer hospitalizations than reported yesterday, and five fewer ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 51 people in the hospital with none of these admitted to intensive care.

Alberta has reported seven more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 1,805 since the start of the pandemic.

Fourteen more variant cases of COVID-19 have been found, for a total of 239. There have not been any variant cases found in the North Zone or South Zone. There have been 101 found in the Calgary Zone, 89 in the Edmonton Zone and 49 in the Central Zone.

There have now been 155,532 vaccine doses administered. Those who have received two doses and are fully immunized is more than 58,000.

In the City of Grande Prairie, 22 new cases were added, and 10 people recovered. The active total is 230 with 1200 recoveries.

In the County of Grande Prairie, four new cases were added today, and one person recovered. There’s now 46 active cases and 361 recoveries.
