Today (Jan. 6) in Alberta, 1,123 cases of COVID-19 are being reported from 16,127 tests. 

The province now has 13,450 active cases, and with 1,059 more people recovering, the recovered total is at 92,858. 

Currently, 911 people are hospitalized with the virus, with 141 of these in intensive care. This is eight fewer hospitalizations than yesterday and one fewer ICU admission. In the North Zone, 63 are hospitalized with seven in intensive care.  

Today, 25 more deaths have been reported, for a total of 1,193 since the start of the pandemic.  

In the City of Grande Prairie, 14 new cases were reported, and five people recovered. Recoveries have now reached 714 with 130 active cases. 

In the County of Grande Prairie, four people recovered, and one new case was at. The active total is 33 with 220 total recoveries.
