In the City of Grande Prairie, 14 new COVID-19 cases were reported today (March 11), and 10 people recovered. The active total is 204 with 1553 recoveries.

In the County of Grande Prairie, six new cases were added, and five people recovered. There’s now 75 active cases and 439 recoveries.

Peace Region totals:

Provincially, Alberta has reported 364 new cases from 10,167 tests completed and our positivity rate sits at 5%. Right now, 4,488 cases are active in the province. With 334 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 130,716.

There’s 259 people in the hospital with the virus, with 38 of these in intensive care. This is five more hospitalizations than reported yesterday, and one more of ICU admission. In the North Zone, there’s 28 people in the hospital with one of these admitted to intensive care.

Alberta has reported five more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 1,933 since the start of the pandemic.

Forty-one more variant cases of COVID-19 have been found for a total of 775. There have been six total found in the North Zone since testing for the variants began; one of these is new.

There have now been 317,574 vaccine doses administered, 6,356 new, with 91,366 people fully immunized with two doses.
