Alberta has added 267 new cases of COVID-19 today (Feb. 23), from 6,335 tests completed for a positivity rate of about 4.4%.

Right now, 4,516 cases are active in the province. With 416 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 125,234.

There’s 326 people in the hospital with the virus, with 51 of these in intensive care. This is two more hospitalizations than reported yesterday, and two fewer ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 41 people in the hospital with one of these admitted to intensive care.

Alberta has reported eleven more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 1,853 since the start of the pandemic.

Twelve more variant cases of COVID-19 have been found, for a total of 301. There have not been any variant cases found in the North Zone or South Zone. There have been 122 found in the Calgary Zone, 114 in the Edmonton Zone and 65 in the Central Zone.

There have now been 180,755 vaccine doses administered. Those who have received two doses and are fully immunized is about 73,000.

In the City of Grande Prairie, 14 new cases were added, and 16 people recovered. The active total is 232 with 1282 recoveries.

In the County of Grande Prairie, two new cases were added today, and three people recovered. There’s now 43 active cases and 375 recoveries.
