In the City of Grande Prairie, ten new COVID-19 cases were reported today (June 3), and six people recovered. The active total is 76 and 3,778 recoveries. 

In the County of Grande Prairie, four new cases were added, and three people recovered. There are now 54 active cases and 1326 recoveries.

Provincially, Alberta reported 296 new cases from 6,808 tests completed and our positivity rate is about 4.6 per cent. Right now, 5,831 cases are active in the province. With 765 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 220,357. 

There’s 411 people in the hospital with the virus, with 120 of these in intensive care. This is 24 fewer hospitalizations than reported yesterday and two fewer ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 40 people in the hospital with 11 of these admitted to intensive care. 

Alberta has reported five more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 2,236 since the start of the pandemic.  

There have now been 2,888,005 vaccine doses administered, with 429,489 Albertans fully immunized with two doses.
