In the City of Grande Prairie, three new COVID-19 cases were reported today (June 1), and 13 people recovered. The active total is 81 with 3,758 recoveries.  

In the County of Grande Prairie, five new cases were added, and five people recovered. There are now 53 active cases and 1318 recoveries.

Provincially, Alberta reported 209 new cases from 4,100 tests completed and our positivity rate is about 5.1 per cent. Right now, 6,771 cases are active in the province. With 1,083 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 218,719. 

There’s 438 people in the hospital with the virus, with 127 of these in intensive care. This is one fewer hospitalization than reported yesterday and six fewer ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 47 people in the hospital with 13 of these admitted to intensive care. 

Alberta has reported one more COVID-related death, for a total of 2,228 since the start of the pandemic.  

There have now been 2,811,168 vaccine doses administered, with 397,209 Albertans fully immunized with two doses.
