The City is updating this weekend’s Grande North Winter Festival event, happening January 12 to 14, to only having activities at Bonnetts Energy Centre due to inclement weather.

Outdoor activities scheduled for Bonnetts Energy Centre, Montrose Cultural Centre and Muskoseepi Park as part of the Grande North Winter Festival event have been cancelled.

The GreenPath a Montrose Environmental Company Skating Oval and Aquatera Ice Slide at Montrose Cultural Centre and the GreenPath a Montrose Environmental Company Crokicurl Rink at Muskoseepi Park remain available for residents to enjoy all season.

 

Live entertainment

The City is very excited to announce the talented, local live entertainment lineup performing in The Bowes for Grande North Winter Festival, featuring:

·Brent Boivin Band

·The Northbloods

·Sofa Gnomes

·Goodbye Iris

·Renee Golemba

·Mandy Cardinal

All live entertainment is taking place on Saturday, aside from the Brent Boivin Band who will perform on Friday.

 

Bonnetts Energy Centre – ticketed Ice Gardens including:

·         The Office Ice Carving Demonstrations.

·         Fletcher Mudryk LLP Chippers Interactive Ice Carving.

·         Maple taffy.

·         Apres Ski in The Bowes with a fireplace and photo backdrops

·         Games including bean bag toss and giant Jenga.

·         Live entertainment in The Bowes.

Ice Garden tickets are now available online at bonnettsenergycentre.com for $10 a day or $15 for the weekend. Online ticket purchases can be picked up at the Bonnetts Energy Centre box office when arriving at the Grande North Winter Festival event.

Children ages 12 and under can enter the Ice Gardens free of charge with a paying adult.

Grande Prairie Storm games take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 12 and at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 13 in Bonnetts Energy Centre.
