Last weekend, events were held at the Jackpot Grill and Events centre to raise support Paddle Prairie Metis Settlement residents who have lost their homes due to the wildfires. The events included food, bouncy castles, face painting, live entertainment performances, reptile petting zoo, silent auction, as well as gospel session and a traditional meal for elders.
The grand total raised by these events was $13,000.
The Paddle Prairie Metis Settlement Association is very grateful for the overwhelming support they have received in this difficult time.
