This year’s recipients of the GPRC President’s Awards are being highlighted using social media.

The annual luncheon was cancelled on March 17th due to provincial COVID-19 measures.

Every year the achievements of GPRC supporters, donors and alumni are recognized during the ceremony. With the event cancelled the college decided to announce the winners online starting last week, April 1.

They have been posting an award a day on social media and their website

Today, they announced their final award: the Board of Governors Award of Distinction, which is the College’s highest tribute to individuals or groups within our community.

This year’s recipients are Bill and Maura Good.

They share, "The long-time retired Catholic school educators, who already have a GPRC bursary in their name, continue to invest in education at all levels. Six of their nine children attended the college full-time and Bill continues to mentor students in GPRC’s Teacher Education North program. Maura, a former Grande Prairie Public Library Board member, has also served on the Grande Prairie Children’s Literature Roundtable Board for many years."
