The Grande Prairie Public School Division (GPPSD) has released its busing re-entry plan for the fall. 

Features of the plan include: 

  • Students are required to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms prior to leaving home each day.  
  • Students will not be allowed to ride the bus if they display any symptoms of COVID-19. 
  • The driver and all students in kindergarten to grade 12 will be required to wear masks on the bus. 
  • Students will be assigned seats on direct routes and must sit in their assigned seats 
  • Only registered students with a bus pass will be allowed on the school bus as of Sept. 1, 2020. 
  • School buses will have enhanced frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces such as door handles, window areas, steering wheel and rails.
