The Grande Prairie Salvation Army was busy today delivering "Hope In The City" Winter Kits to the homeless population. 

Capt Peter Kim from the ministry said they delivered 200 winter kits today

He also mentioned that it's National Addiction Awareness Week and they handed out coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

"It's a safe alternative to alcohol. We hope to keep people warm, safe and sober this winter"

The Salvation Army's  "Hope In The City" Winter Kits included, thermal socks, a warm toque, winter gloves, PPE mask, and personal hygiene products.

The Salvation Army's kettle campaign is on now, with a goal of $575,000.  

They are also still looking for volunteers for their kettle campaign, you can sign up to donate at 780-538-2848
