Gathering for the first time in more than 3 years, members of the Grande Prairie Piranhas Swim Club celebrated a record-breaking season with an awards banquet, held on October 29, 2022 at Clarkson Hall, Evergreen Park. With over 200 people in attendance, the Club celebrated the collective accomplishments of the organization and recognized the performance of individual swimmer through 27 squad awards and 4 Club awards. Each squad recognized winners in the following categories: Outstanding Swimmer and Most Improved while the whole Club recognized winners in the areas of Triumph, Dedication, Sportsmanship, and Leadership.
Capping off a year that saw the Club achieve historic finishes as a top-3 Club at Provincial Spring Championships and top-10 Club at Junior National Championships, the evening set the stage for the current season, which is well underway.
