The American Idol stage was transformed into a place of worship during a special performance on Sunday.

CeCe Winans hit the stage alongside Roman Collins, who was eliminated during the Top 12 night, to sing 'Goodness of God.'

"I got to minister with CeCe Winans in front of America & FANTASIA ON PENTECOST SUNDAY," said Collins in a post on Instagram.

The duet brought Katy Perry to tears and had the audience lifting their hands in praise. 

Fans of Roman Collins took to social media thanking him for giving God centre stage. 

"Thank you for singing a song on national TV that gives glory to our God. His presence was there! We need more of this!" said one fan. "God is revealing Himself on network TV. This is so amazing! God is being exalted!"

Although he was eliminated, Collins continues to pursue music. Earlier this year, he released an album, Same Gospel, New Sound.
