On Thursday, February 14, 2019 at approximately 8:05 AM firefighters responded the report of a structure fire in Crystal Ridge. A passer-by called 911 after seeing smoke from a detached garage. The passer-by also notified the occupants of the house to evacuate. The Fire Department responded with 2 Engines, 1 Ladder and 1 Command Unit. Upon arrival there was smoke and fire showing from the detached garage in the back alley.

Although firefighting efforts were hampered by frigid temperatures, the fire was quickly knocked down. Firefighters remained on scene until 10 AM cleaning up hot spots and overhauling the building to ensure the fire was out.

There is extensive fire damage to the garage and contents including a pick up truck. The fire is currently under investigation and a fire damage estimate is not available at this time.
