The Canadian Motorcycle Tourism Association is raising money and food donations in support of the family of Chantelle Jadot.  The 42-year-old mother of seven was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday May 7 near Fairview.  Jadot was a big part of the motorcycle community and knew a lot of people.

The CMTA has launched a fundraising operation following the news of Jadot’s passing.   Renee Charbonneau, Executive Director of the CMTA, stepped up to the plate to help the family.

“When we found out about the kids and the need and what was happening our little committee said, you know what, we need to do something.”

The CMTA is accepting food donations: perishable, non-perishable and frozen foods.  The organization has the capability to store the food at the Veterans Memorial Gardens for the Jadot family as they need it.

“They can come and basically use us like a grocery store and then, of course, we're also taking donations of gift cards and cash.” Charbonneau said.

The seven Jadot children are between the ages three and 19.

“You know everybody [is] stepping up in their own way, and because we're able to take such a wide variety of donations, we're seeing a wide variety of support. They need everything from diapers to milk, on a daily basis, so the need is not a small one when you have seven children.”

To set up a donation you can call Renee at 780-933-0182.

A GoFundMe page has also been set up by Chantelle’s sister-in-law, Caitlin Jadot, to help with the family’s needs.
