Additional Provincial Government funding has been allocated to foodbanks throughout the Grande Prairie-Wapiti area.
The Beaverlodge Christmas Hamper and Food Bank received a $21,726 Donation Matching Grant and an $8,000 Food Bank Grant. The Sexsmith and Area Food Bank will receive a $21,461 Donation Matching Grant and a $50,000 Food Security Grant. The Town of Sexsmith received a $5,000 Food Security Grant as well.
“Food banks are an invaluable support to our community that help us to feed our families and ensure food security. This funding allocation brought by our United Conservative government showcases our dedication to maintaining the wellbeing of people throughout our area.
