Get ready for a fun-filled Canada Day with The City of Grande Prairie on July 1!

The celebrations kick off with the Canada Day parade, move to Muskoseepi Park with all-day activities for all ages and cap off with fireworks over the reservoir.

Parade details

The Canada Day parade begins at Hillside School at 2 p.m., travels down 96 Street and 100 Avenue, ending at the Northwestern Polytechnic parking lot.

Park activities

Muskoseepi Park will be buzzing with activities for all ages from 3:30 p.m. to midnight including:

  • Free drop-in swimming at the Aquatera Outdoor Pool from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Free cake (while supplies last), sponsored by New Horizon Co-op, starting at 3:30 p.m.
  • Live entertainment at the Amphitheatre from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • Fire dancers from 11 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Carnival rides and games, sponsored by Paramount Resources Ltd.
  • Kids zone with bouncy castles, face painting and roaming entertainment.
  • Food trucks.

The festivities will go out with a bang with a fireworks display, presented by Pomeroy Lodging, at 11:30 p.m. from the reservoir at Muskoseepi Park.

Aquatera Outdoor Pool Canada Day Schedule:

The Aquatera Outdoor Pool offers free, drop-in-only swimming on Canada Day from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. in intervals:

·12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

·2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

·4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
