The Fort St John RCMP detachment has opened their front counter to the public starting today (July 6).

They'll be open for regular office hours from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with current COVID-19 protocols posted on the front doors. Hand sanitizer is available for immediate use upon entry into the front lobby.

Civilian fingerprinting will be available on Tuesdays from 8:00am to 11:30am and Thursdays from 1:00pm to 3:30pm, with appointments every half hour. Specific appointment times must be booked ahead of time by calling 250-787-8100 during regular office hours.  This will allow for minimal people in the detachment at one time, and for cleaning of all the equipment and surfaces before the next person is processed.

A maximum of two people, appropriately spaced, will be allowed in the lobby at one time. Additional clients are asked to wait outside.

If a person exhibits any signs of COVID-19 or has travelled in the last 14 days, they are asked to return home and call the office at 250-787-8100 instead.

Non-emergency reports, where there are no witnesses or suspects and police follow up is not required, can be made at the Fort St John RCMP's new Online Crime Reporting Tool
