After posting to social media that he had lost his Christian faith, Marty Sampson is asking his followers to research Christian apologists.

The Hillsong worship leader and songwriter, after making the post claiming, "I'm genuinely losing my faith and it doesn't bother me, " Sampson totally wiped his Instagram account.

In the last 24 hours, Sampson has posted photos of apologists like William Lane Craig, Ravi Zacharias, and John Lennox and captioned the photos by saying, "I don’t know these men personally, but I do watch them regularly and listen to their arguments. If you don’t know who they are, perhaps you may want to find out more about them."

Additionally, Sampson posted a photo and quote from Francis Collins, former leader of the Genome Project and Christian physician-geneticist.

The quote from Collins refers to humanity originating from a single ancestor, "I would not necessarily wish that to be so, as a Bible-believing Christian," says Collins.

"But it is so. It does not serve faith well to try and deny that."

Sampson's third post is a screenshot from a piece of writing, arguing that the Gospel books of the Bible are contradictory. Sampson's simple caption: "🤔"

Many of his followers have commented with pleas, their own arguments, and links to resources for Sampson in hopes that he would return to his Christian faith.
