In Alberta today (Oct. 15), there are 244 new cases of COVID-19 from 12,721 tests completed. 

There are now 2,738 active cases in the province, with 18,417 recoveries. Of the recoveries, 194 are new. 

Right now, 101 people are hospitalized, one more than yesterday, with 16 of these in intensive care, two more than yesterday. One more Albertan has died, and the total deaths are at 288.  

In Grande Prairie, five more cases were found, and four people recovered. There are 44 active cases and 107 recoveries. There was no change again in the County, which has five active cases and 62 recoveries.  

One case each was reported in the MD of Spirit River, County of Northern Lights and Clear Hills County. Big Lakes County has two new cases. 

One person has recovered in the MD of Peace.
