The Fairview Flyers of the Northwest Junior Hockey League announced today that they had a single COVID-19 case confirmed on Oct. 26.

The organization says they’ve been “diligently working to ensure that players & coach’s in direct contact with the confirmed case are self-isolating & getting tested.

“We have received direction from AHS on the requirements to follow & will continue to monitor test results as they are received.”

Last night’s practice was cancelled as a precaution, as well as the game scheduled for Oct. 30 against the North Peace Navigators.

The team played two games against the Navigators last weekend, and it hasn’t been confirmed yet whether the team has any positive cases.
