UPDATE: 

November 5, 2023

On Nov. 2, 2023, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Berwyn and were able to recover the stolen truck from Fairview. 

Still outstanding, are the stolen tubs of fuel and the flat deck trailer involved from the incident in Grimshaw.  Community members are asked to contact RCMP should they believe they have any information regarding the flat deck trailer and tubs of fuel; community members are also asked to report any suspicious private sales of bulk fuel in the area.

On Oct. 29, Fairview RCMP responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from a business in the area of 91 Ave, Fairview.  There was no surveillance available and no suspect description is available, however the vehicle is suspected to be taken between supper of Oct. 28, 2023 and the morning of Oct. 29, 2023.

The vehicle is described as follows:

  • 2005 Chevrolet Silverado
  • AB plate: 26N454
  • Grey
  • Dually rear tires
  • Slip tank in the box
  • Black push bar

On Oct. 30, 2023, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a report of theft of fuel worth over $5000 from a business in the area of Township Road 840 and Highway 35 in Grimshaw.

Surveillance was obtained and the vehicle is confirmed to be the same vehicle stolen from Fairview which was reported on Oct. 29, 2023.  Additional description includes:

  • Flat deck trailer with several large white fuel tubs with metal caging

Fairview RCMP and Peace Regional RCMP asks the public to review any security or dashcam footage from either areas and to contact RCMP should you believe you have any information of value to assist RCMP with identifying any possible suspects or the locations of the stolen vehicle and fuel.  Anyone with information from these files are encouraged to contact the Fairview RCMP non-emergency line at 780-835-2211, or the Peace Regional non-emergency line at 780-624-6611.
