The County of Grande Prairie shared this morning that the Elmworth Community Library, Valhalla Community Library and La Glace Community Library are open.

Elmworth’s library is open Tuesday to Thursday, 2-8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Valhalla Community Library says their maximum number of patrons at a time is five, masks must be worn and hands sanitized when you come in. La Glace also has a capacity of five, or one family.

The Sexsmith Shannon Library is also open, with six people allowed in the building at a time and mandatory masks. They request that people keep their visit to no longer than 15 minutes, those computers are available for 30-minute intervals.

Libraries can open at 15% of fire code capacity, not including staff, with the next phase of reopening announced on Monday by the Alberta government.

The Grande Prairie Public Library is working on their reopening and has not yet announced when they will be able to reopen. They still have curbside pick-up available.
