Alberta has added 259 new cases of COVID-19 today (Feb. 3), from just over 6,800 tests completed, for a positivity rate of about 3.5%.

Right now, 6,599 cases are active in the province. With 561 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 116,820.

There’s 539 people in the hospital with the virus, with 94 of these in intensive care. This is 17 fewer hospitalizations than reported yesterday, and three fewer ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 57 people in the hospital with seven of these admitted to intensive care.

Alberta has reported 11 more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 1,671 since the start of the pandemic.

There have now been 109,341 vaccine doses administered. Almost 19,000 people have received both doses and are fully immunized.

In the City of Grande Prairie, no new cases were added today, and eight people recovered. The active total is 136 with 1044 recoveries.

In the County of Grande Prairie, one new case was added today, and one person recovered. There’s now 40 active cases and 315 recoveries.
