Grande Prairie RCMP have arrested two males and seized drugs and cash following a drug trafficking investigation. 

In September, members of the Grande Prairie RCMP Municipal Drug Unit began an investigation into the sale of illicit drugs in Grande Prairie.  

On Nov. 14, the Municipal Drug Unit, with the assistance of RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS) and Grande Prairie RCMP General Duty, executed search warrants on two residences in the Highland Park and Avondale neighbourhoods.  As a result, the following items were seized by police: 

  • 60.8 grams of powder and crack cocaine 
  • 196 Oxycodone pills 
  • $14,040 in Canadian currency 
  • an electronic money counter 

Quaddien Davis, 26, of Mississauga, ON, and Taurean Adams, 28, of Edmonton have both been charged with the following: 

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine 
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Oxycodone 
  • Possession of property obtained by crime 

Davis and Adams are scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Jan. 6.
