Grande Prairie, AB, Nov. 20, 2018 – The Douglas Marshall Family has made a donation in the amount of $1 million to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation’s Key to Care Capital Campaign. The donation includes naming of the second floor corridor and will fund information kiosks and specialized medical equipment throughout the new Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.

The Douglas Marshall Family are long-time supporters of the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation. Olivia Marshall stated “We appreciate everything the community has given us, all of the support for Doug’s business over the years, and we wanted to give back to the community that we love.” The gift from the Douglas Marshall family will help to ensure that the people of our region have access to excellent health care closer to home.

In the past, the family donated towards the MRI that is currently in operation at the QEII Hospital. This gift to the community has allowed so many people to stay closer to home, giving them the ability to receive the procedures they need within their own community. This gift will allow the people in our region to receive the care they need while drastically cutting down on travel to larger centers such as Edmonton.
