Another person has died in Alberta due to COVID-19.

During Tuesday's (Mar.31) update, Alberta Health Services announced there were 64 new confirmed cases in the province, bringing the total up to 754. Of those cases, 77 involved health care workers, though most were not caused while providing care.

There has been another death from the Calgary zone, nine total in Alberta.

It is believed 75 cases are due to community spread.

"We must all continue to do our part and follow the public health orders that are in place to save lives," said chief medical officer of health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw.

She encourages people to help out in their community while still following physical distancing guidelines. Also, donate to blood clinics, which have seen less donations over the last few weeks.

On a positive note, the province can confirm 120 Albertans have recovered from the virus.
