The Rotary Club of Grande Prairie “Covid-19 Rapid Relief Fund” to aid local food banks in response to the Covid-19 pandemic has started off to a good start. Capt Peter Kim from the Salvation Army said with the monetary donations, they will be able to purchase food directly from the supermarket.
"We actually already have received $28,750 which is a great start, they recognize that COVID-19 may last a lot longer than expected, we are anticipating with so many job lay offs, there maybe more families utilizing the food bank"
50% of proceeds for all Rotary Dream Home tickets sold in April will go to the fund.
