At approximately 5:20 p.m. on Monday, May 16th, Stations from Wembley, Dunes, La Glace, and Clairmont were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Range Road 80 near Township Road 710.

Upon arrival, a residential home was found fully engulfed. Responding stations worked quickly to bring the fire under control and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby exposures. As the fire was in a rural area a water tender shuttle was utilized to bring water from the closest source to the scene. There were no occupant’s home at the time of the fire.

No one was injured because of the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The Fire Marshal is looking at all possible causes, including an intense thunderstorm that passed through the area shortly before the fire was reported.
