The County of Grande Prairie’s 2021 Annual Report is now available to the public.

The report guides residents, businesses, community members, the public and stakeholders through how municipal tax dollars were invested to deliver projects, programs and services throughout the year to support sustainable, prosperous, and safe communities.

“Our Annual Report highlights bits of information in an easy to read format instead of using traditional hundred-page documents,” says Communications Manager Lesley Nielsen-Bjerke. “The Digital Story Map provides viewers with another visual option to view a snapshot of the great work being done across the organization to serve residents.”

This year’s report features notable accomplishments from 2021 and highlights how operations from various service areas support Council’s priorities identified in the County’s Strategic Plan. The report outlines key County statistics and demographics, advocacy goals and achievements, notable partnerships, events and milestones, including the transition of Hythe into a hamlet in the County and progress on Intermunicipal Collaboration Frameworks with neighbouring municipalities.

Readers will also learn about the impacts of the millions of dollars that the County invests in community groups, facilities and cultural and recreation opportunities throughout the region each year.

The County of Grande Prairie has published an Annual Report since 2019 as part of a commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and reporting to the people it serves.
