The deadline to complete the County of Grande Prairie’s 2024 municipal census by May 31, 2024 has been extended to achieve the desired 95 per cent completion rate.

Completing the census is a fast and simple process, with only six questions required.

County residents are encouraged to complete the census. The updated population count will:

·ensure the County receives appropriate funding for roads, infrastructure, and social programs;

·provide a better understanding of the community and required services; and

·help retailers, restaurants, and investors know if the County is a suitable market for new or expanded businesses.

County census workers are distributing Personal Identification Number (PIN) cards to all County households. The PIN is required to complete the census. Residents who haven’t received a PIN card or have misplaced it can call the County’s Census Coordinator at 587-726-1686.
