The County of Grande Prairie’s Business Support Network is providing entrepreneurs with two upcoming Zoom seminars to help them navigate through impacts of COVID-19.

Both sessions of Mastering the Pandemic – Finding Success Amid the Chaos are free and run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on July 14 and Aug. 11.

Participants will hear the accounts of several local businesses and organizations on how they’ve overcome obstacles and found success during COVID-19.

Registration details and information on these and other upcoming events offered by the Network can be found at countygp-bsn.eventbrite.com.

“We launched the Network in February 2019 to support our business community with timely resources and information,” says Nick Lapp, Director of Planning and Development Services.

“COVID-19 has resulted in local companies seeking guidance and ideas on how to manage their operations effectively through constantly changing circumstances.

“The pandemic has created new challenges for businesses of all sizes and there continues to be uncertainty as the economy opens up,” says Lapp. “Against that backdrop, there are many stories of tremendous courage and resilience that local companies have demonstrated over the past few months.”

Featured businesses and agencies include the Peace Wapiti Public School Division, Grande Prairie Regional College, Crowned Beauty, Madhatters, Once Upon a Child, Better Than Fred’s, and The Revolution Auto Group.

The County of Grande Prairie Business Support Network assists entrepreneurs through access to information, resources and a variety of supports. It provides networking forums to discuss with colleagues, business organizations and government representatives their challenges and opportunities.
