In 2022, construction on Phase 4 of the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project continues along 100 Avenue between west of 100 Street and 98 Street.

The construction consists of the completion of streetscape elements, including landscaping, street furniture, concrete base structure, and paving stone installation.

Construction is scheduled to occur from the beginning of May to the end of July. The City anticipates vehicle traffic to flow for the duration of construction.

About the Downtown Rehabilitation Project

The project consists of replacing the old underground water, storm, and sanitary lines with enhanced pipes to facilitate higher density development and roadway reconstruction. In addition, upgrades to the streetscape will occur, including broader sidewalks, higher visibility pedestrian crossings, and enhanced seating and landscaping to create a modern, walkable, and pedestrian-friendly city centre.
