Over the weekend, Alberta had 426 new cases of COVID019 reported from over 33,000 tests. There were 133 found on Aug. 28, 184 on Aug. 29 and 109 on Aug. 30. 

There are now 1370 active cases in the province and 12,293 recovered, 239 of which were over the weekend.  

Currently, 44 people are in the hospital with eight of these in intensive care 

There have been two new deaths and the total is 239.  One was a male in his 80s Edmonton zone and the other was a male in his 90s in Clear Hills County.  

Clear Hills County had a significant number of cases identified over the weekend. They have 14 new cases, with now 25 active. Two people recovered, for a total of 27 recoveries. The County is on the provinces watch list. 

In the City of Grande Prairie, four new cases were found and eight people recovered, leaving 20 active cases. In the County, one case was removed, and three people recovered; there are 11 active. The MD of Fairview has four new cases. 

Mackenzie County had 14 new cases reported over the weekend and eight recoveries. They are also still on the province’s watch list.
