The City of Grande Prairie has received a $26,000 donation from the Canadian Medical Association Foundation (CMAF) to help the most vulnerable in our city.

The funds will be delivered to the city thanks to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund for Vulnerable Populations, the result of a collaboration between the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) and the CMAF.

The funds are being used locally to enable our community to better support and assist those experiencing homelessness in Grande Prairie.

“I want to thank the CMAF for this donation,” says Angela Sutherland, Community Social Development Manager.

“To receive this kind of direct funding from an organization like the CMAF is a testament to the great work of the social services sector in Grande Prairie. We are proud to be recognized for our COVID-19 response, and to receive this support which will allow us to continue to provide vital services to all of our residents.”
