The City announced today that the Grande Prairie Museum & Heritage Village, Ernie Radbourne Pavilion in Muskoseepi Park, and Heritage Discovery Centre in Centre 2000 will open on June 2.
Hours of operation will be 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. All sites are closed on Mondays.
Several changes have been made to accommodate COVID-19 restrictions:
- Facilities will be set-up with specific entrance and exit doors
- Visitors will be asked to use hand sanitizer as they enter facilities
- There will be markers on the floor to direct foot traffic and to encourage physical distancing
- Hands-on displays and interactive pieces have been removed or put out of service
- Debit/credit card payment is encouraged for gift shop purchases; staff will not be able to provide change for vending machines
- Visitors are asked to stay home if they are experiencing flu-like symptoms
- Bathrooms will be open with a reduced number of stalls, urinals and sinks
- Enhanced cleaning protocols will be put in place throughout the buildings
