Since 1984, PARDS have used equine therapy to help people feel healthy and strong. They have a wide range of programs that seek to impact lives in many positive ways. It’s not just about riding horses, (though that is an important part of what they do.) They have several programs that bring thier clients in close contact with horses but don’t include sitting in a saddle. All of thier equestrians are special, unique individuals and they work carefully to find the best way to make a difference.

Thier mission at the Peace Area Riding for the Disabled Society is committed to providing high quality Equine Assisted Therapy to Peace Country residents.

Thier vision is to empower individuals of all ages and abilities to maximize their growth and potential; physically, cognitively, behaviourally and socially through equine assisted programs and activities.

PARDS is excited to be hosting our Kick Off to Summer Cook-Off event in conjunction with our Community Carnival on June 10,2023!

The daytime Carnival is a fun-filled family event with lots of carnival games, prizes, Silly String Corral, pony rides and more.

The Kick Off to Summer Cook-Off boasts an array of delectable dished prepared by local talent including chili’s, BBQ or smoked tasters.

This will be an afternoon of fabulous food, games, activities, raffles, and music.

So gather up your family and head on over for a day of fun!
