The CFL continues to work towards having some sort of season, but the CFL Players Association is frustrated because they're not being involved in any of the planning.

Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell says he's split on the issue.

"Obviously I want answers but you know I have the wherewithal to understand that maybe the guys upstairs don't have all the answers yet. As soon as you put a timeline on it, you're putting a deadline on when you have to make a decision. So, guys are asking for answers but, we'd say "OK, give us an answer by July 15th" And if things aren't going the way we want them to, now we've got to cancel the season just because we've put a deadline on something."

One idea being floated is playing an eight or 10 game schedule, for all teams, in one hub city starting around Labour Day and maybe without fans.

Mitchell, says it's not his first choice, but if that's what it takes.

"It's not ideal. I mean, we do this for fans. This is why we play and they're the guys that drive us. Honestly I use the fans a lot during the game. They're a motivating factor whether or not you're playing at home or away. Sometimes when you throw the ball and you're tackled, you kind of listen to the crowd to find out if you completed it, or threw and interception. So, it'll definitely be different if it's just like practice with nobody there."

The CFL says whatever plan they come up with will see the Grey Cup played in December.
