On July 15, at 3:52 p.m. Grande Prairie RCMP received a report of a break and enter in progress on Township Road near Clairmont. Upon police arrival, the suspect ran into a pick up and after ignoring police commands, reversed the vehicle intentionally ramming a police car and fled the area. At 6:40 p.m. the vehicle was seen by a passer-by stuck in a field. When the good Samaritan offered assistance to the driver, they were assaulted and their vehicle stolen.

RCMP are pleased to report that a suspect has been arrested and the victim’s vehicle has been located. RCMP would like to thank the public and media for their assistance. A further release will follow once charges have been laid.
