Thanks to Saddle Hills County, Bonanza School now has the cash it needs for a new playground. On November 28, Bonanza School Principal Theresa Simmonds attended the County’s Council meeting to request support for the fundraising efforts and was thrilled when Council offered to pay $50,000 toward the new equipment.

For the past two and a half years, Bonanza School and the Bonanza Bring It Society have been working together to fundraise for a new playground. With family and community support, the group was able to raise nearly half of the cost of the playground. With the County’s generous donation, the dream of providing students with a new playground is becoming a reality. “We are so grateful to Saddle Hills County for their extremely generous donation. Our students are very excited, and we are so proud of all the hard work that got us here,” says Ms. Simmonds.

A construction start date has yet to be set, however the school hopes it will take place during the summer break.
